My SIM suddenly stopped working. I remembered that Silent.link exists and used some sats that nostr:npub1u8cqn3pl0dj70x64pkd33nrzl8k0um4ftnvn3lpjas89wp5r3uaslqtx5g gave me on Christmas to get a e-SIM. It's in moments like these that you realize Bitcoin isn't just internet money; it's money for a world with internet.

How’s that going so far? Is it the only eSIM you're using now?

It has been working amazingly well so far. I still need to see if it works in other cities and states. It's not the cheapest option in terms of data costs, and the price is indexed in dollars (though you can pay with Bitcoin), while my salary is in Brazilian Reais. If everything continues as smoothly as it has so far, I’ll keep my phone number, but probably on a second phone. The combination of a VPN and a non-KYC e-SIM, all paid with Bitcoin, gives me a glimpse of the kind of society I want to live in, so I’m okay with paying a little more.
