If you run a nostr relay and don’t use nostr:npub1wsguarddmjs97h4m026fsmv5974jk2s2rgu2urt7remjz9nnah0qq2mlse - why? 🤔 nostr:note1xwnjqnveej7vplhcvr0dkvlp6tlknfl4etswn9lyuphc83ee6dgq5ndr7r

Because my relay is constantly visited by some status and stats bots 😂 for free. They should be paying me not to ban them, not the other way around.

But in all seriousness, everyone has their own tools to check what works and how it works. I don't see the point in a third-party solution.

First - Relayguardian is free!

What tools are you using to evaluate uptime/performance of your websocket?

We have lots of http monitoring for our websites and backends but I had trouble finding a good out of the box solution for nostr relays.

RelayGuardian connects, makes a nostr REQ and writes a nostr event to verify the relay is not only reachable but functioning. If there’s something out there that offers this please share it with me!

Free? Then all my complaints are canceled 😅

Just a homemade code 😒 Nothing special 🙄

It does have some premium features for pay (more frequent checks, performance stats, longer history, multi-region support soon, etc) but not necessary for core functionality at all.
