Signal doesn't publish APK releases via Github, just tags for building yourself.

This should update itself in future where Play Services isn't available and it uses websocket rather than Googles Firebase for push notifications.
That said I would recommend Molly too as listed above, some GOS staff and community use it also.
Just tried Molly and its not going to work for me it seems that you can only use Signal on one device at a time per phone number.
Yeah cant be used alongside with the same number, it's fine to replace Signal with it however if you want to restore a Signal backup you have to wait for a little for Molly to version match.
Yeah, makes sense. It’s really disappointing how few technologies are available that are both end-to-end encrypted and which are not dependent on a phone number.
I feel like by this time in history, we should be able to generate a random keypair, and use it as an identity across any number of devices, with full end-to-end encryption. Is that too much to ask?
