I feel a) that no one has to zap, so it makes it more of a "super like" as said by #[0] imho too. Just a fun way to interact with one another and b) I pay it forward with zaps. I have loaded nothing onto me wallet of satoshi (to only one I have connected here) and have used the generosity of others as a means to show my appreciation towards others. Just one big "pay-it-forward" circle of zaps at the end of the day. again, all imho. I like that u question it though, healthy skepticism doesn't hurt. Cheers!

Yeah I like the idea of pay it forward. I wonder if my perspective will ever change if I actually buy something with my zaps though.
I, of course, dont have to do this. And maybe thats where I will draw the line. But I am aware that other people will.
I wonder if a platform that encourages this kind of interaction will remain a healthy place to socialize though. Im trying to think like someone who might abuse the system. That will inevitably affect a lot of the direction of nostr.
