With the book? Or more on the philosophy/non-fiction side?

Most likely the book.
Well, the book is a bit of a sci-fi/fantasy. The main fantastical element is that there is a technology they call “synths” which are basically molecular-level 3D printers. So you can basically make ANYTHING with them. My main character basically planned an elaborate ruse to scam himself into possession of one from the authoritarian empire that has locked down access to them. He absconded with his synth to another planet, which he is planning to terraform into a homestead for his family. But the empire is sending enforcers out for him to kill him and take the synth back.
