I just discovered the concept of adding a passphrase to protect your seed phrase and it is blowing my mind 🤯

Damn it, I love #bitcoin!

Also dangerous, you are making a 2 of 2 multisig where one wrong character in your passphrase generates an incorrect wallet. Be careful and know the pitfalls, which are not well publicized.

Incorrect wallet?

Changing at least one character in a passphrase creates a completely new wallet is a feature not a bug.

Yep same as seed Phrases: bacon 24x is one wallet, bacon 23 times and egg is a completely different wallet!

Not if you forget you capitalized a word or miss a comma. Very easy to enter incirrctly and think your sats are gone because zero balance in wallet. If you do use a passphrase, it should be as a

simple and mistakeproof as possible.

That's what a fingerprint is for: It tells you which wallet you're operating from. This way you avoid being shocked when you encounter a zero balance.

Precisely.

Learning about this concept has been a complete game changer for me.

Yup. I was very confused by the concept in the beginning and kept wondering why I couldn’t recover my wallet.

But now that I’ve figured it out, it’s become a game changer for me.

Setting up a new private key, I made sure to make my passphrase something that I would never forget. 😁
