Tried adding my Nostr node relay URL but no luck. Any help is much appreciated! First time setting up my own relay via umbrel.

Use tailscale and enable magic dns. Then use your nodes name then the port— ws://umbrel:xxxx
So I did download tailscale, looks like magic DNS is already enabled. Wdym by nodes name and port? Where do I input that?

In your nostr application in umbrel near the bottom. When you installed umbrel you could just call it umbrel- which a lot of people do. I renamed mine so i had to use that name instead of “umbrel”
Try taking out the “.local” does that work?

Do you have both you node and whatever device you are on linked to tailscale? I link my desktop and phone because i use both to be on nostr
I have desktop and my node. Do I have to connect my phone if I’m sending notes from Damus on my phone?
I believe so if you are not near your local network
I’m on my local network so not sure what the issue is. Any links to a step by step guide?
I don’t know of a guide unfortunately. If you only want to use it from a local network, then you can use the relay url provided at the top that has the ip in it, i believe. Or- like i said, include your phone on tailscale so it syncs when you are away as well.
Take all this with a grain of salt, im just trying to figure out things myself.
