It's here to stay but likely to stay in the minority akin to Linux. Tons of Linux users and people building but will remain in the minority

The thing is, we will be able to do things with Nostr that can’t be done with other centralized platforms. This isn’t just a competitor that looks similar to the other options. This is a protocol where numerous things that literally no centralized platform can offer will be widely available and easy to use.

Nostr will win because it will simply be better. My experience in the Nostr verse is already so much more seamless and earns me way more sats per unit of time invested than anything else I do. This is super early stages, we’ve barely gotten started.

hope you're right, but skeptical

The fact that there’s no other place where you can get zapped 1000 sats with practically no friction from anyone in the world ought to dampen that skepticism.

Go somewhere else where you can do that. 😘

I'm with you, I am. However, the "herd" seems to favor "free with ads" or subscriptions to eliminate ads, versus zapping everything. Most people are not for liberty, but like their golden prison cell.

This could change "generationally" if younger people get exposed to nostr and prefer it or see it as the "default" way.
