Do you think they were a "special batch" or they can turn any pager battery into a "mini grenade"?
I am still wondering how they did the attack.
It looks like a directed attack, it would be very unlikely all those batteries would explode with such reliability and do that kind of damage without some explosives in them.
Itβs a supply chain attack, maybe a distributor was compromised or even a member of the group could betray them
That's why open source hardware is the only acceptable way. Don't trust, verify!
