What's amazing is the lack of interest in Nostr and decentralized tech from very awake freedom loving online communities.

They see the age verification stuff and the inevitable digital ID rollout but do nothing. Its like watching people who live in forest fire territory but take no measures to create fire breaks or incorporate smart landscape design to mitigate inevitable fires.

Only when the fire is in their area will they start spraying their house with water and taking some sort of action.

I guess normalcy bias is a stronger force than I thought. If you haven't seen it before its hard to imagine
