Damus shows replies as hidden from a person you blocked. You have to click it to view the reply.

Which is good design. So far I have so few people blocked I didn’t even notice.

So it’s not really a block but more a mute until you’re curious to see the content based on replies. Didn’t know that but that’s actually the way you would like it to behave
