My local grocery store is closing for remodeling so they have several days of sales to clear inventory. People come in buying up everything just because it’s on sale. It looks a bit dystopian with mostly empty shelves. People are running around grabbing everything.
I thought, if this were a real food shortage, people would be fighting for last scraps. People would be fighting for scraps after 3 days and after week I’d see total war break out.
Things are more fragile than they seem.

I think you’re wrong, people tend to help each other in times of need. An will probably not go down like in the movies…

But if you look at recent events like the fires in LA, there are tons of stories of people helping each other out etc.
I love these stories and they really helped me restoring faith in humanity..
