Primal forces pulling from only 1 node at a time.. where nostr allows pulling from multiple nodes at a time — this is a fundamental fork of the nostr architecture that has gone undisputed up until this point.

The primal cache node is connected to multiple relays — but users can’t decide which relays. It’s hard-coded. This is fundamentally weak architecture.

I won’t be participating in Primal’s fork of nostr.

Their investor says don’t worry, just take a screenshot! Misguided fools. Imagine thinking a centralized node with screenshots counts as censorship resistance.

Primal is warping nostr into a centralized firehose akin to BlueSky and Farcaster. Cobbled together garbage. Posers/LARPers. It’s easy to ship crap!

just got to work harder and make our clients better to make sure this model doesn’t win, or else nostr is in big trouble.

Honestly JB if no one else understood it’d be hard to keep working without being driven by spite. At least someone gets it. Hopefully jack learns this distinction too.

The primal social network, separate from nostr, just happens to have a partial nostr bridge built in. Like the twitter bridge.

Basically. Primal isn’t nostr.

ya, primal is a problem

Firehoses are easy.

It just costs money to maintain.

Which BlueSky and Primal have…

Necessity is the mother of invention I guess!
