Why weren’t they backing up their X accounts to their own private relays?

Everyone gets Nostr at the time they deserve.
They have been banned from the Darkside (X). Like the allegory of Plato's cave, trying to communicate that the reality of what they see is a dog and pony show is an exercise in futility. After one sees the light (Nostr) watching the shadows on the wall seems downright silly.
Let them know that all their conversations with GROK are now searchable on Google. Elon holds their own information against them. Facebook and the "others" are far worse.
Maybe then they will take the time to set themselves free!
