Me too, bit more than half a year now.
I've introduced almost all important people to signal for communication with me, and I've missed exactly 1 event with friends I would've attended if I had seen my old communication channels in time.
I still have old phone number on my old phone, but I dont carry it anywhere. I occasionally check up on it, but usually have to recharge it because the battery will have died between checks.
Obviously its considerably more hassle this way, but I appreciate the feeling of paying for that extra privacy with that extra friction.
Currently going through next phase of my de-googling by moving to a self hosted "photos" using Immich. Exciting af.
I really should be moving in this direction...
