I saw this with my own eyes yesterday sitting in traffic. I thought I was about to get meteored right in the grill.

Neat video of Starship Flight 8 just after the upper stage exploded. It's sufficiently high and fast that we see the explosion quickly moving across the sky with no appreciable air resistance.
