Sync new photos:
1. Tap albums icon (second icon) on bottom bar.
2. Tap “Recents”.
3. Toggle “Backup” to be enabled.

And how do you host it?
I use their cloud solution currently, not self-hosted. Mostly because my home server sometimes has uptime issues and I need a bigger hard drive.
I know that uptime issues. I've the same problems, but they're "okay"
But I'll use other hardware and reinstall everything soon. I hope it'll get better then.
