Just confirming for any lurkers, I totally understand what your saying - but just in case someone doesn't....

What you're saying is that status seeking bleeds into alot/all areas of decision making, it crowds out other/better motives (truth seeking, value seeking) and distorts outcomes more than people realize. Or?

Status games are and always have been. Always will be.

The player chooses the game he plays. Bitcoin is a vanguard of players choosing a new, economically consequential game.

“Don’t hate the game, hate the players.”

Also, X paying people for popular content adds a nasty new monetization incentive to such narcissistic games.
