The shooter was 20 yrs old. His entire adult life and experience with politics has been shaped by the Trump and Biden administrations and all the craziness and media gaslighting that has occurred during that time. It’s a bit unsettling to think about. How many more of “him” are there?

Was having a conversation with a boomer in an auto shop the other day. There were three generations present: the boomer, myself the milennial, and a 6 year old Gen Z kid.. likely the boomers grandson.
The boomer and I were trading stories from our youth. We had both done the "go west young man" thing, and both had some pretty cool/extreme stories.
As we were sharing stories the Gen Z had his head buried in his phone. It was for the entire time I was there, he had earbuds in and eyes glued to his video game.
I couldn't help but think to myself..this kid is missing out on moments from his Grandpa's youth. Cool moments with amazing lessons. He is being shaped not in human to human interactions, but in a way that no human generation ever has.
I worry about that. Many very vulnerable people of all backgrounds/ideologies exposed to a constant deluge of mental stimulations designed to divide and anger makes a potent environment 🫣
