Be kind to yourself. 16 yos do much worse than getting drunk at a dance.

Thank you, you're right. I have such high hopes and I guess I fooled myself into believing that she'd be unscathed by high school. Naive.

I’m sorry to hear that. Be empathetic to her, talk about why she was drinking and what your concerns are regarding that.
