n00b question:

- sats from shakepay are KYC

- send on-chain to WoS

- send as LN TX to a different self-custody LN wallet (a la Phoenix, etc.)

is this a good method to obfuscate/“coinjoin” sats?

No, because WoS has records of everything, and receiving nodes have no privacy. Govt can ask WoS which node you sent all funds to (ie your Phoenix node)

This is true. First they would have to get the information from the exchange though, and there is plausible deniability about the receiving channel.

Commenting here because I am curious too. So nostr:npub1utx00neqgqln72j22kej3ux7803c2k986henvvha4thuwfkper4s7r50e8 says that sending node knows the receiving node. But what about receiving to a private node behind torrent?

Tor doesn't help you, your channel has an on chain utxo, so when the channel closes it's easy to identify

But what about all the LN tx that you did before closing the channel? Say I moved 10btc through 2m SATS channel. What does the channel utoxo means?
