i think the fact monero is barely purchasable does that for me lol, im not building for the unwashed masses its for autistic weirdos like myself

Monero is hardly "barely purchasable" for US residents. For Eurofags maybe. But Americans in almost all states can purchase it pretty freely.
It’s a great thing you are doing but the guy does have a point, you might want to at least chart out a potential future where the user experience isn’t so jarring.
its not jarring to me, its like any crypto payment i've ever made and yeah, im not american, only paypiggies have to deal with paying with an external wallet anyway, if you're just receiving payments you add a view only wallet once. hot wallets seem like a headache. still early days though
I don’t like hot wallets either, that’s why I suggested you connnect it to another wallet (could be cold) if that is possible on XMR.
For sending? No. receiving? Yes Monstr is built with view only wallets for receiving payments so no spend keys are ever shared
Alright… that I understand. Having a read-only wallet in the app itself.
What I am talking about is having some connection with another app wallet (maybe this can only happen on PCs o Android, now iOS) to sign transactions.
And in case there is need for a pop-up, may it be for a quick confirm and then back to the app, without having the screen waiting for the transaction to appear.
yeah, the problem is that good XMR wallets don’t have the APIs necessary to enable this yet. Because XMR is available for purchase in less jurisdictions the ecosystem has been less focused on retail, and more focused on creating things like atomic swaps to enhance XMR’s core competency of obscuring the transport of Bitcoins less salable in your current regime to a legal jurisdiction where they are more so. It’s going to require either forking Feather or getting the Feather people on board.
I see, personally I use cake wallet, their team is constantly doing upgrades, maybe someone could contribute to it (if not the already maintainers) to add such an API.
