But that sort of job requires such little skill that it's not worth it to a company to pay people more. The pay is based on the supply of people willing & able to do the job. Simple, straight forward work that almost anyone can do = low pay. Like flipping burgers it's entry level stuff that good for little other than proof you can show up which constitutes the job experience needed to move on to something better at some point in the future.
