I do all my dev in Python and am exploring #hypermedia to get away from JavaScript on the browser client. That said, the #nostr protocol is free from JavaScript, though it uses JSON, which is just a dict in Python-speak. I see little attraction to mainline DHT beyond what can be done with a relay. Also P2P implies that you need to have a host online all the time. I don’t think that is a good design choice.
