Someone said "asinine," and now I've got "assinine" on my brain. Or, in me-speak, "ass9."

Well here's something ass9. Nation-states. Ain't no such thing. The state is the end of the nation. They're opposites. Nations are vibrant and healthy and something people want to keep around. States are parasites, and they don't know how not to kill their hosts.

So, this idea of "nation-states" is ass9. Never mind what assinine actually means. Doesn't matter. Its ass9.

the latin word for donkey is "asinus" asinine means "like a donkey" the american expression "ass" originated from the insult "donkey"

donkeys are the retards of the equine family. they are harder to train, and because they are more stout, can defend themselves by refusing to move where a horse is more easily toppled.

i don't think they are actually more stupid, they are just not as nervous, and for example it's probably easier to get a donkey used to you riding it and shooting a rifle from its back than a horse, who is most likely to throw you off the first few dozen times, until it gets used to the loud noise.

so, asinine is really about a person's mental posture, they refuse to pay attention and compute the input, because they don't think they have to. in humans, this is a sign of mid intelligence, in fact, because they are confident enough to know *something* but not very good at learning. real retards know they are not good at learning, it's one of the first things they learn, and something you will hear from them a lot. so i think similarly, as a donkey is cursed by its confidence, so are mids, and so in that way they are similar to donkeys.

The word always seems to me to be obscenely derogatory and unfair towards donkeys. Other examples include hawk, snake, rat, weasel etc. Blaming non human animals for distinctively human failings is in MHO little more than exceptionalist cope.

Don't worry, the donkeys like it

lol, it's not blame it's comparison, and the comparison is to the personality and manner of the person:

a hawk is tenacious and aggressive

a snake is slippery and stealthy

a rat is a gossip and a scavenger

a weasel fights by creating confusion with random reactions, and they are nervous

a rabbit is flighty and easily killed (you can kill them throwing rocks at them)

a chimpanzee is loud and aggressive

a horse is nervous and powerful, but kinda stupid

a dragon is intimidating and a hoarder

a lion is proud and prone to complacency

a mouse is quiet and crafty

a cat is bold but also very crafty and perceptive

a donkey will refuse to move if they aren't sure about what you are trying to ask them, stubborn and ignorant

a crow is crafty and noisy

a magpie likes collecting things and boasting and being ridiculous

just observe the animals, this is the way they behave, so it is used as an analogy, neither blame nor any kind of condemnation of the animal, they is what they are

What about giraffes?

a giraffe is lumbering and slow, and awkward, but can reach tall things

an elephant is slow but extremely dangerous when you make them angry, and never forgets anything

Their long necks are snooty. Ass9 I tell ya. Ass9.

yeah, not to forget my favourites

a blackbird is nervous and flighty, and makes pretty songs

a jackdaw is noisy and struts around

a rook gathers in groups and acts all superior as they chatter to each other
