So I listened to the full 2 hours of nostr:nprofile1qyv8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnvdac8qtnnda3kjctv9uqzpaegm8nwwpyrtrnsjv84efjtp9mhpkvfenvxs487vx8d48y28qgxxgzsvk on Breedlove's pod.

Many things I disagreed with, but I guess that one that stuck out was this,

That not only are the plebs and node runners wrong, and don't matter.

No, you actually don't even exist!

You're not a real person, the community uproar is just fake accounts.

Actually the majority position is that of Core.

And you should stop worrying that pretty little head of yours, and get with the program.

....

That's some pretty hardcore gaslighting. And very disingenious.

He is conflating that because the majority of the wider Bitcoin universe are not outspoken for knots, then they are pro core v30.

No, there is an information gap in Bitcoin. And these people speaking up, are the only way this information gap gets solved.

If you are talking about the engaged people in the debate , then the knots side IS bigger.

You don't get to take the silent majority side as "pro change" just because they're not paying attention.

AND THAT IS THE PROBLEM with a TRUSTED DEFAULT IMPLEMENTATION.

THE TRUST IS NOT FREE.

He is my least favorite Bitcoiner, but he is (at least marginally) a Bitcoiner.

I have a secret theory that he actually loves Bitcoin and all his attempts to undermine it and make it worse are his way of battle testing it and trying to make it harder. If it can resist evil super villains then it is pure and good. So become an evil super villain to see if it can stand the heat. It’s that or he’s just a cunt.

I mean, I'm not trying to cast judgement on him much besides what he said in this pod.

I think most people in the debate want the best for Bitcoin.

But disingenuous arguments and hubris needs to be called out.

I have always been the asshole who simply speaks his mind. There's no conspiracy / subterfuge / deception on my part with this debate.

Bad actor from day 1, appreciate the honesty

I just can’t understand why anyone would argue so passionately for a change that accomplishes so little and alienates so many. The cost/benefit analysis doesn’t balance unless there is some hidden agenda that the change enables down the line. There’s no doubt you’re smart as hell but I think you might be a little lacking in social skills which could be why you don’t see that Bitcoin is as much a social project as it is a technical one.
