That would leave more space for oceans?

The Mercator effect dwarfing the southern hemisphere in detriment for the northern! Despite recognizing the error on the scale, this form of colonialism keeps the maps as they were first introduced in the 16th century!

As a former cartographer, it surprises me how easily people are fooled by map projections.

It’s not easy to understand when you haven’t travelled to the southern hemisphere! When you take over 8 hours from Johannesburg to the Mediterranean and you start comparing to the 3/4 hours you take to reach almost any country in eastern Europe from Lisbon you get a better understanding of this effect.

yeah, and we're at the bottom - an edge of the world destination. For me to go anywhere, I have to add 8 hours to travel up the entire continent. I think it's 10 hours to London from Cape Town direct

So suspicious why is Belgium referenced on this map … 😂

clearly fake LOL, how you can think someone with so big hands exists and putted all these continent over afrika like sandwich 😹😹😹

ya but there's also 54(56) countries on the continent too so,

not only this, you have insane variations of humans too - from fair skinned to the darkest of the dark. From the tallest people to the shortest people only a few 100 miles from each other. You have the naturally fattest people and then the naturally lanky.

Its actually crazy at the diversity that's on the continent natively.

It looks like a bigger India !
