It's not near the price of $400 for the Pinephone Pro, it is a decrease of about $300 though :)

From a company that has had a few issues and problems levvied against it? Hm... I'd go with a PinePhone or FairPhone.
Though I honestly can't say that I dont like Purism's design choices, their stuff looks good.
Wish their image did, too... :/
I see some of the additional cost as going towards software development, it doesn't appear that Pine64 is that involved. It's good to see Purism sticking with it and pushing forward.
That Marketing trick actually still works?
I guess, I should announce a soft drink for 10k bucks & then on release offer it for 1000 bucks & shout: "THIS DRINK IS 90% OFF!!!! ONLY ON RELEASE DAY!!!! IT'S SO CHEAP!!!".
Considering the controversy around their behaviour & shitting on critical community members, I'd say, they should make it much cheaper, deliver more & apologise on top of it.
Send them an email with your feedback, they will not likely see it here.
All issues I have had with products have been resolved, I will post more about it later.
