Does anyone else find this as offensive as I do?! 😂 I was kind of hoping we'd receive investment capital purely because we built a fuckin awesome company...🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s not ! If you receive funding then you have an awesome company ! This is just something that will make the VC company look good ! « As a VC it’s our duty to support minorities… »

As much as I would love to reduce inequalities overnight, I feel that trying to overcorrect via government intervention or regulation can further perpetuate division and prejudice. It's a complicated matter I guess 💗

It is 💜 there is no obvious or easy answer. The same is done on many company boards now. They have a % for minorities, maybe this ensures that minorities that are competent are also represented around the table.
