So now that everyone's all excited about covenant L2s *replacing* Lightning (good luck lol), we shouldn't forget that they can also help to *improve* Lightning. At least that seems to be the case for CTV and APO.

I don't understand why everyone wants to reinvent the wheel. I always stay away from such projects as they are mostly scams and foolish.
Which projects are you referring to? Because there has absolutely been a recent renaissance in L2 ideas
Legit don’t think anything will “replace” Lightning simply due to the network effect and relative ease of interoperability with all other layer 2/3/etc protocols and networks.
Still think Lightning is going to be the dominant settlement network for all of the world’s separate payment networks, privacy pools, financial pools, enterprise, etc. Covenants will be a hugely valuable tool for getting around the limitations of Lightning, not replacing it.
