Public companies with bitcoin reserves will (must) be forced to do proof of reserves. Ideally, cryptographic — even if they custody with someone else. This must become the standard, and whoever doesn’t do it must be frowned upon.

Perhaps, even quarterly attestations with an independent big-name auditor would be a good start. Not ideal for bitcoiners, but a move in the right direction.
