I am finally ready to drop my in-ear Bluetooth headphones for something that actually sounds good.

What does nostr recommend?

Sony WF something or other over ear headphones. I've had them for 5 years or so and they're still going strong.

Sony WH-1000XM4 *

I always wanted a MX2 and then MX3 and then MX4 but 10 years ago, just before the Sony MX2 released, I bought the Plantronics Back Beat Pro and this beast never want to die, still using it daily.

Thanks! I am actually considering to go fully wired for lossless audio. But I’ll definitely be looking into those as well.

No problem. These do have an AUX port so you can use them wired as well, but there are dedicated wired headphones that are probably better.

If you go for wired: ATH-M50x. The second undestructible headset I have with the Plantronics Bluetooth (see my other note). I just regret that I got the M50 (without x) which is with a fixed cabled. But mine is more than 10 years and still perfect beside the fake leather that I pelled off on the top. I did DJ with it for some years, then using it mostly for gaming or anything on the PC. I would buy it again if I need to.

Depends on your budget. I love my Hifiman Sundara. Way better than any high quality BT headphone, if you want to plug into your phone, use a usb adapter to headphone.

I concluded that its one of the better cost/value ratio for high quality headphones in that range

ATH-M50x

Second this.
