Using dehydrated plant leather as a wrap is intriguing, ive been looking for wrap alternatives for a while. Any tips for trying to reproduce something like this?

If you don't want to dehydrate, the most easy way to have "leather" for wraps, you can use rice or tapioca sheets (not raw) and also Nori leaves. I use sometimes nori leaves and in the inside I put a sheet of soaked rice sheet. This makes the roll quite robust.

Veggie-leather is so delicious and nourishing. I highly recommend trying this. If you live in a tropical area you can also try with coconut!

Let me know what you are creating 💚

Thank you! I'm going to give dehydrating a try, I've done it in my oven to dry my own chili peppers before. likely going to need to do some experimenting for these wraps 😄.

Depending the heat of your oven, it'll take approx. 9 to 14 hours...depending the thickness of the "batter" . Also make sure to have a wooden spoon or so in the dorr of the oven, so that the moisture can escape!

For me it was important to get a dehydrator...it's less electricity consuming I guess, also makes less noise, than the oven. Also I can regulate the heat under 42° C (Celsius)...so it's still raw quality.

Let me know how it's going 🙏🏽
