Well I'm using that other site now to get sheet music, so maybe. But I don't know anything to contribute.
Lots of public domain music notation tho, could be great on alexandria
To contribute. it would be trying to convert any public domain works into that abc notation I mentioned. That gets the notes to not only display nicely, but to play the notes out loud.
Hmm I wonder if that has been automated. I was looking at musescore uploads and saw this, seems like it accepts pdfs etc but this may cause mistakes. They have an in-house file thing 🤔
Writing them out would be quite the task.
This seems like a good resource. Do you know what this Lilypond thing is they mention?
https://www.mutopiaproject.org/
Seems to be the same thing you mentioned?
https://lilypond.org/text-input.html
But yeah if Alexandria accepts these .ly files, or otherwise copy them, mutopiaproject has 2000+ public domain compositions that you can add to Alexandria 👀
On second look the annotation and Lilypond seem slightly different maybe? I'm not sure I know enought about this 🤔
It seems that lilipond is much more comprehensive, aiming to be something for professional music engraving. Abc notation (and the tool abcjs I'm using) is meant to be interactive, and works in the browser with playback.

Converting from pdf would be amazing, but that's much more comprehensive than I can do. We can at least get the basics running, though.
