NWC can be connected to you own node and run on your own node, with full self custody. I use it to connect to Damus 🐶🐾🫡
I think is in the main site of alby in the user account settings there's the option to connect your own node. 🤙

but I am connected to my own node with NWC and zapping from primal. I’m running umbrel and has connected my node with the new Nostr wallet connect app that juts got launched there.
I think if you connect a wallet to Alby it might work ? Only Alby on NWC 🤔🧐
You can connect node to alby to receive, true, but not to pay 🐶🐾🫡
