What are your guys thoughts on the universe being deterministic? Do you believe free will truly exists or does everything we act and perceive happen for a reason…🤔
Discussion
free will exists.
Explain why and try give a good enough reason to fault a deterministic universe, I’m not choosing a side I’m just interested in why you think that.
CHatic deterinistic. Like a weather. THere is no free will. We dont have more free will than a cloud.
I think free will doesn’t make sense in the context of our experience of the world.
We weigh up our available choices and go ahead with what feels right, based on short to long term bias. If circumstances change, our choices will change. So we’re predictable.
The only way to not be predictable, is to allow RNGs to make your decisions, and then you definitely have no free will.
It all depends on your perspective
I think it’s possible we’re code written by brain emulators being tested on multiple timelines. So, deterministic in our code, free to act within that code.
