Since green tea comes from a plant, it does contain a small number of calories. What is a small amount? Well, each one-cup serving of green tea contains 2.45 calories. Beyond the calories, green tea also contains 2.45 milligrams of sodium, 2.45 milligrams magnesium, 19.6 milligrams of potassium, and .539 grams of protein.

Lmao

150 calories in a cup of tea? Is that with 2 sugars and milk?

The calories in tea and coffee are negligible. If doing a water fast, then one could avoid everything but water, but for intermittent fasting a cup of either isn’t going to break a fast.

It's with nothing added. Plants contain calories, even if you laugh your a off about it.

A cup of green tea doesn’t contain 150 calories, I don’t care what “magazine vogue” has to say on the topic.

You seem to care about talking down others for how they choose to fast, like if they want to fast with coconut water, and you care about what you think and believe, even if you're wrong and spreading disinformation. You also seem to dislike being corrected. It seems to bother your ego.

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. (1 Corinthians 7:5, KJVA)

Dude, what? I’m not talking down to anyone. I’m laughing at the claim that a cup of tea contains hundreds of calories.

Do you understand the difference between <5 calories from a couple cups of tea or coffee vs hundreds of calories from coconut water?

You’re not correcting me, you’re being pedantic because that small amount of calories will have no measurable impact on a fasted state. I have worked with botanical extracts for a long time, I quite aware of their chemical compositions and to what degree they impact the body. I’m not sure what you are hoping to achieve here, if you think plain coffee and tea is excessive, don’t consume them while fasted.

Hope you have a good day homie. 🫂
