I had a mastodon account at one point and then the instance owner deleted the instance. I don't have mastodon account anymore.
And I think thats all you need to know to understand why #nostr is bestr.

Any kind of CENTRAL directory services will NEVER work in any app or platform or protocol
found similar pattern when looking fediverse or mastadoon why someadmin there cannot kick u out if any disagreement arise - in nostr some relayadmin ban/filter a npub - there no central association of RELAY ADMIN CARTEL yet which can do the same but still cannot control all relays.
relay admins can/need follow local law that's fine n necessary
