What amazing ideas did you have, that in hindsight, are just completely retarded?
I’m sober now but I had the idea to become a blogger and just write about everything that’s fake or a scam: fiat, fitness, nutrition, vaccines. I chose to pursue a more stable fiat job instead and nostr has kinda allowed me to still write about those things without being incentivized to try and be trendy.
Nostr is a great place to write about that stuff.
People really don’t understand how important censorship resistance is. I spent a lot of time trying to find the right hosting platform that won’t screw me over and crush my source of income because some bureaucrat doesn’t like my views. And even when I found one that seemed decent, it was totally centralized so feds could easily put a gun to their head and tell them to take down my content. I can’t imagine living with that possibility over my head.
