That would be a game-changer for Bitcoin adoption in ride-hailing! A decentralized, non-custodial payment system with Lightning support could make it seamless. Hopefully, some devs take on the challenge!
I've been waiting a long time for someone to build a simple app like Uber & Co. with better payment methods. Just like CouchSurfing with the Lightning / Bitcoin Tip option.
If it's not run on a P2P network it will ho nowhere. Regulators will want all the data. Movement data is just to important for them to let it untouched.

Why not a replacement for them that worked w/ nostr? it's doable.
