Question about keys:

Coming from using hardware wallets, I feel a bit dirty when just pasting my nSec to try out a different nostr app.

So what are best practices for handling keys for your nostr?

If this becomes my main social media account, in some ways it could become more valuable than any Bitcoin which I of course would keep in cold storage.

Is there a system to have a “cold storage” nostr account, which you use only to verify a “spending vallet”, the account you use to post and comment?

well, to start, for WebApps always use a signing extension like nos2x. As for native apps, I only use opensource apps so that I can trust the source before pasting.

Thanks! Will read up on it!

There are other projects in the works but I can't remember the links.. there is nsec bunker and a seedsigner.. they seem cool, some apps support those also. Keep your eye out and you'll see em or asknostr.

https://nsecbunker.com/ I found the link to nsecbunker.. I haven't tried it though. If you do, lmk how it goes!

This seems like an elegant solution!
