Yep, I have one and the other model with lightning/usb-c as a backup

No issues with it, I only use it to auth with Bitwarden, my main email accounts and exchanges

Everything else I leave to Bitwarden’s TOTP

Just make sure you get at least two yubikeys, so you don’t lock yourself out. And keep one at a separate geographical location just in case of fire etc

Do you have to run Linux with it? Video I was watching guy set it up through there

Nah Linux isn’t a requirement, you just use the yubico Authenticator app to interact with them. That runs on pretty much everything, including Linux

I set it up with my laptop first, making sure I set a pin on the yubikey so other people can’t physically mess with it. But I use it mostly with my phone, or plug directly into laptop when I need to

okay cool. because I'm almost tech inept lol. They were running on linux then had a second laptop to airgap it etc..

I'm wanting to learn linux but it's way down on my list of things to do and learn.
