I don't know much about NostrChat, but it seems to support NIP-28 channels, so channel chats should be compatible.

Not really. We added channel and the relay. Channel not found.
Or is it possible to use 0xchat with a desktop pc? Is there a web client or native linux/windows client?
Native desktop version is under development
