Simultaneously there is no value in the thing itself. theres only a PERCEIVED VALUE, inhernet to the user. This value is a speculation on the future which in turn itself is uncertain. Its only when an exchange occurs that said value is ACTUALLY realized. Its quite the conundrum when you actually think about it and start realizing it this way. But it is how it actually works.
