I’m all over the place with coffee, but decided the French press is a Sunday am thing

Does yours leave sediment in your cup or do you use more coarse grounds? #IDontKnowWhatImDoing.

Oh, there’s always sediment even with course grounds.

Okay so it's not just me haha.

Nope 👎 it’s a feature not a bug

I find with the French press the "bloom" stage is important.

but I'm a dark roast guy and don't like the sour flavors.

What is the bloom stage? Coffee is getting too complicated… 😆

lol

I thought i was the only one who didn't know....

Before you fill up the French press, you add just a little bit of hot water and the coffee "blooms"

it kind of puffs up and expands and creates a crust

then after 2-3 min you add the rest of the hot water

I have never heard this! Thanks 😊 I guess? Does it make it better?

yeah it really does

rounder and deeper tasting

usually I use a stovetop espresso maker

but when it isn't just me I break out the press

I’m big on that stovetop espresso thing. That’s the daily driver.

absolutely

that with a good French roast... 😋
