RVW is a story of an old man who gets a drink from dwarfs one night and wakes up 20y later. The dwarfs disappeared and going back to his village he figure out his wife is dead, his children grown up and the US is independent. I think the parallel to Isekai manga is the switch of timelines /dimensions
