Yo! Tell Mel capsaicin is in chili’s which is why salsa is spicy (picante). Lactic acid in sour cream and fat content is what mellows out the “ spiciness” of chili peppers relieving the palate’s chemical effects of capsaicin. Mel is awesome! I just wanted to put the correct explanation out there.
