thinking about agentic ai… what if before it started a task, it could look for mcp tools it might need to complete a task, then it would install those tools by itself before it started. With a large enough tools registry, an agent could accomplish basically anything by itself

Where are you finding out how MCPs work?

Had to look at the raw schema and manually query jsonrpc on mcp endpoints to get a feel for how it works

Ugh. I found one which lets me access the shell. That works. This is all oddly both under documented and really powerful

I haven't played with the new MCP stuff yet, but if there are command line tools, just add it to goosehints. If you can search for them via curl, you can add that too. It was having trouble making proper RPC calls, so I pointed it at our protobuf schema site.

Context is life

oh TIL, that's cool

When people say it's just a fad I cannot figure out what they're talking about. If it isn't working, just use more of it

I thought that this was wild. Cline can now create and add tools to itself https://www.reddit.com/r/ClaudeAI/comments/1hcrxl6/cline_can_now_create_and_add_tools_to_himself/
