It everyone supported paid relays we’d have more relays and more room to scale. The good news is that we’re nowhere close to having that number of users joining all at once.
If 25 million people migrated to NOSTR today and immediately started running active accounts, could the network handle this with no issues?

It's a chicken and egg problem. Everyone using paid relays now doesn't need another one. So no need for more paid relays if the number of users stagnates. More user, more paid relays, if the users care for their feed. There should be a greater focus on relays. Make relays fancy again!
I am leaning towards freemium+premium model. Free to use, pay for features or higher limits type of thing. What do you think?
