I have read 1 of 4โ€ฆ so much work to do!

(I read The Selfish Gene)

What do you think about Dawkins thoughts

Well I am a big meme guy, so there is that! Definitely interesting.

Not sure if it is all the gene though or something else. After all the gene needs an ecosystem to flourish in.

I find it rather entertaining that meme is the most mainstream of the ideas.

I found the idea that we are the best protectors our DNA a bit of a stretch, didn't see how it added to any thought

Yeah, that one seems a tall order for me to buy into.

I need to revisit the book, I have a copy stuck on the shelf in my office.. Iโ€™m a little rusty from the first reading back at university.

What course did you read that one in?

I believe it was for an Evolutionary Biology course I took as part of my interdisciplinary studies.

I have mine from Biology and Economics. Its one of 2 books i keep from my post secondary.

Have you read Richard Dawkins: The God Delusion.

No, I havenโ€™t. Have you? Good?

It's a masterpiece, but I must warn you that if you are a religious person, it may be a little bit offensive but worth reading ๐Ÿค™

Thanks, will check out!

Do yโ€™all just read whenever or is it something you set time aside for like a show or game or #nostr ?

I know that many people hate Richard Dawkins and Charles Darwin ๐Ÿ˜…, but if you believe in evolution, their work is like a holy grail to understanding our origins.

I believe weโ€™re all made of star dust and we all shit corn kernels. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

But seriously Iโ€™d find these interesting

I mean, that's okay. Not everyone has to believe in same stuff. We need skepticism. ๐Ÿค™

Oh I agree with you. Iโ€™m always curious about stuff

It's amazing how insightful Origin still is after all this time.

Charles Darwin's work is like Einstein's theory of relativity in that it is the foundation upon which almost all of our current understanding of biology revolves.

Lol. ๐Ÿคฎ
